Sony Computer Entertainment America’s US$150-million marketing campaign is continuing to roll along with three new TV promos slated for December. Fox Kids Network will tout Spyro: Ripto’s Rage! from December 13 through December 31 with promos and an on-air contest offering winners a PlayStation party and limousine rides to school and back. Kids’ WB! is jumping in to host an Um Jammer Lammy on-air party and contest from December 14 to January 1, offering kids a copy of the oddly named game if they call in when they hear the ‘milk can’ jingle. Finally, Cartoon Network will run a Toonami Ape Escape Giveaway from December 11 to 29, offering viewers a chance to win one of 15 grand prize PlayStation console prize packs and other prizes.

Ranger Rick is looking for package tie-ins following The Gable Group’s recent signing to the National Wildlife Federation. The Group was hired to step up cause-related marketing partnerships for the Federation, which runs conservation programs such as ‘Keep the Wild Alive,’ as well as publishing Ranger Rick and Your Big Backyard. Licensing and promotional partners are in demand for a school program, an endangered species program, an expeditions program, a catalog merchandise program and other endeavors.

Fox Kids has come to the rescue for any companies trying to reach the elusive Romanian kids market. Thanks to a deal with local ad sales unit Cable Direct, Fox Kids Central & Eastern Europe is now the first and only network offering advertising space on a Romanian-language kids channel.
