Ellen Levy-Sarnoff has signed on with Fox Family Worldwide to develop kids programming for Fox Kids Network and Fox Family Channel, as well as some prime-time series and TV movies for Fox Family Channel. Levy-Sarnoff was previously VP of development for United Paramount Network’s children’s programming division, where she helped bring Jumanji and The Incredible Hulk series to the screen.
In related Fox Family Worldwide news, Saban International has signed a three-year deal with GMA-7 Network (the Philippines’ terrestrial broadcaster) to brand a Fox Kids block of children’s programming on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Currently, Goosebumps and Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation air on the hour-long block, but other shows being considered for broadcast include Eerie, Indiana and Saban’s Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog.
Saban has also closed a three-year deal to air a Fox Kids block on Columbia’s new private terrestrial channel RCN. Starting this month, the one-and-a-half-hour block, featuring the ubiquitous Goosebumps, as well as X-Men and Dungeons & Dragons, will be broadcast daily to 7.5 million Latin American homes.
