Former McFarlane Toys senior VP Bob LoMonaco has launched a new toy company. The Monmouth Beach, New Jersey-based company, called X-Toys, will focus on creating licensed product for the kids and collectibles markets alike. In addition to announcing the formation of the company, LoMonaco confirmed that X-Toys is the master toy licensee for 20th Century Fox’s sci-fi action flick, Wing Commander, and the Warner Bros. western adventure Wild Wild West. Based on an Electronics Arts line of computer games, Wing Commander is slated for release in the first quarter of this year. Wild Wild West, which stars Will Smith and is based on the `60s TV show of the same name, is scheduled to hit theaters this summer. Joining LoMonaco (president) at X-Toys are Richard Beer (CFO) and Rand Marlis (VP of licensing and business development).
