Of the record-breaking 9,032 programs screened by 337 buyers from a selection of 673 titles at Mipcom Junior, Nelvana’s Dumb Bunnies and Hit’s Big Sister, Little Brother tied for most-screened. Both companies had three titles each in the top-ten most-screened list, including Nelvana’s Birdz and Anatole; and Hit’s Anthony Ant and Sheeep. Film Roman had two titles in the top ten (Bearsy Bears, The Mr. Potato Head Show) and Canada’s Decode (Angela Anaconda) and Motion International (Giraffes) followed with one each. Overall, animation beat out feature films, educational and documentary programs by a long shot, claiming 407 of the 673 titles screened. As well, 25 of the 30 most-watched titles were animation programs.
