Lego Systems teams up with Cartoon Network’s Scooby-Doo for a month-long sweepstakes promotion appropriately called ‘Zoinks!’ after Scooby’s favorite phrase. The comical canine sleuth will deliver the entire 1998 Lego assortment to the grand-prize winner, and the Lego Imagination Celebration Truck, set to tour this summer and fall, will visit the winner’s home. To promote ‘Zoinks!,’ Cartoon Network will air a week of prime-time Scooby-Doo Movies and a 25-hour Scooby marathon in October. The tribute will end on Halloween with a television world premiere.
Cartoon Network has also announced the highlights of its upcoming on-air sponsored promotions. They include ‘Coaster 2 Coaster,’ a contest to send kids on a tour of U.S. roller coasters, sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks and got milk?; ‘Dexter’s Duplication Summer,’ a campaign to promote the prime-time launch of Dexter’s Laboratory, sponsored by Discovery Zone; and ‘Say When!,’ an annual toy-driven holiday promotion from Hasbro Toys and Games.
