Nickelodeon and Just Kid Inc., a kids marketing and research firm, have teamed up to sponsor a global study of kids’ behaviors, attitudes and consumer dynamics. The 1998 Nickelodeon/Just Kid Inc. Global Kids Study will be conducted in 11 countries around the world including Australia, India, Argentina, Mexico, France, China, the United States, Germany, Japan, Italy and the United Kingdom. Four hundred kids between the ages of seven and 12 will be randomly selected to participate in the study, which will provide internationally comparable data that will identify similarities and differences in kid-consumer dynamics in the world’s leading developed and developing markets. Key categories and topics to be included in the study are: consumerism, media and technology, and lifestyles.
