The industry definitely took notice when Disney announced that the re-release of The Little Mermaid would coincide with Fox Feature Animation’s first foray onto the big screen with Anastasia. Even though the mermaid broke out of the starting gate early, it looks like Anastasia won the both the box-office and the promotional races.
