Sassa will move Andrews into new areas now that one of its major assets, New World Communications Group, is being sold to News Corporation. He will also assume the roles of chairman and CEO of Marvel Entertainment Group.

AnyRiver Entertainment (San Mateo, California, 415-372-2772): Ronald Parks to VP, finance. Parks oversees the development and management of AnyRiver’s financial and administrative operations and implementation of financial plans and reports. Andrew Sells to VP, production. Sells heads up both in-house production and outside developer teams and serves as executive producer on several AnyRiver titles.

Buena Vista Pictures Marketing (Burbank, California, 818-560-1000): John Cywinski to president. Cywinski is responsible for marketing live-action and animated feature films on the Walt Disney, Touchstone and Hollywood labels.

Channel One Network (New York, New York, 212-508-6800): Eric Poulson to VP, sales/marketing.

Discovery Networks U.S. (Bethesda, Maryland, 301-986-0444): Eric Eggleton to VP, Discovery Kids. Eggleton works closely with all of the Discovery Communications’ business and educational units and with the programming departments at Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Animal Planet and Discovery Kids Latin America. Eggleton also co-ordinates all Discovery Kids activities with outside entities and is the chief liaison with Lancit Media.

Leo Burnett (Chicago, Illinois, 312-220-5959): Richard Hobbs retires at the end of1996 after 34 years with the agency. Though titles have yet to be confirmed, Jack Klues will replace Hobbs as executive VP, worldwide media director; Robert Brennan will take over the U.S. directorship; and Jeannie Euch assumes Brennan’s role as director, international media services.

Lyrick Studios (Richardson, Texas, 214-390-6000): Kevin Ryan to editorial director. Ryan leads the Wishbone publishing team.

Manga Entertainment (Chicago, Illinois, 312-751-0020): Greg Forston to national sales director. Forston is responsible for managing new releases and maximizing catalog sales and promotional efforts in association with PolyGram Video and PGD. Mike Egan to general manager. Egan is responsible for the day-to-day production, advertising and marketing operations of Manga’s headquarters and liaises with PolyGram Video on sell-through properties and marketing activities to retail.

Lewis develops strategic alliances with domestic and international companies seeking enhanced marketing, media and promotional opportunites through tie-ins to Marvel products and services.
