McDonald’s Restaurants, Dr. Pepper, Nestlé, Payless Sh’es and Frito-Lay are among the sponsors who are lined up in support of Disney’s holiday release of the live-action version of its classic 101 Dalmations.
The promotional campaign will weave in extensive sweepstakes, consumer give-aways and special spotted dog promotions.
Estimates of the media and marketing support from the myriad sponsors and licensees who have joined the program have topped $100 million. The feature film stars Glenn Close in the role of Cruella DeVille.
To promote Disney’s Timon & Pumbaa later this year, Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants plan extensive point-of-sale materials, including drive-thru side panels, speaker box toppers, door clings, standees and tray liners. The promotion will run from October 4 to December 31, tying in a KFC Kid’s Meal that features up to six action toy premiums.
