Who would have thought cockroaches would suddenly become so popular?
Viacom New Media is the latest company to license the insect stars who first appeared in the MTV series J’e’s Apartment. The New York-based publisher of interactive entertainment software will be releasing a CD-ROM in the fourth quarter of this year based on the J’e’s Apartment movie, produced by Geffen Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros., that will be launching in August.
The game will feature music, sound effects and voices from the movie. Dreamer’s Guild of Chatsworth, California, is developing the title.
Players 12 and older will assist the talking, singing and dancing creatures in their quest to infest J’e’s entire building, consisting of eight apartments, each presenting new challenges.
The product will run on Windows 95 only, and will be distributed worldwide.
