Surge Licensing is going back to the pond. First it was reptiles in a shell, and now, the company that helped turn Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into an international licensing hit has signed on as the worldwide licensor for Cyberfrog, a new comic book character published by Harris Comics.

The first comic book series was issued in February, and the second is just hitting retail stores.

‘Cyberfrog is an edgy, urban property tempered with humor that has bite and a ‘ribbit-ting’ story line,’ says Surge president Mark Freedman.

Freedman says he will be looking for licensees in every major product category, from toys and video games to publishing and apparel. A Cyberfrog Web site is also being considered.
